Cooking Filets from Frozen

Jan 28, 2014

Our turkey breast filets are versatile, great tasting, and best of all—convenient. They’re individually packaged in sheets of six filets with easy-peel film. Single portions are perforated to facilitate one-at-a-time use. Plus, no thawing is necessary—they cook from frozen for added back-of-house ease.

When you cook from frozen, it’s easy to achieve a juicy, flavorful finished product. The outside of the filet is caramelized while the inside cooks slowly. The filet does not dry out since moisture is retained during the cooking process.

How to cook from frozen:

  • Prepare the turkey filet as you like—marinate, brush with olive oil, add salt, pepper or other seasonings
  • Place on the grill and cook one side, rotating halfway through cooking if you’d like cross-hatched grill marks
  • After 4–5 minutes, turn and cook the other side for an additional 4–5 minutes, rotating halfway through cooking if you’d like cross-hatched grill marks
  • Grill to an internal temperature of 165°F
  • Plate and serve!
