Dry jerk spice

1/4 tsp.

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Neutral oil

Jerk paste

Soy sauce

1-2 tbsp.

Honey

1-2 tbsp.

Orange juice

Directions

  1. 1. Season the turkey burger patties with the dry jerk spice, garlic powder and onion powder. Allow to sit for 1 hour to absorb flavors.
  2. 2. Prepare the jerk glaze by combining the jerk paste, soy sauce, honey and orange juice in a small bowl. Reserve.
  3. 3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 3–4 minutes on the first side, allowing a deep sear to develop.
  4. 4. Flip the patties and brush generously with the jerk glaze. Continue cooking for an additional 3–4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit.
  5. 5. Remove the burgers from the heat and coat evenly with additional jerk glaze.

Lime (1 teaspoon zest and 2–3 tablespoons juice)

1/4 tsp.

Salt, plus more to taste

Directions

  1. 1. Make the slaw dressing by whisking together the orange zest and juice, lime zest and juice, oil, honey, garlic and salt.
  2. 2. Toss the slaw ingredients with the dressing just before serving.
  3. 3. Assemble the wraps by placing the cooked turkey burgers into the tortilla wraps and topping with the mango slaw. Serve immediately.
