    Creamy Alabama White Sauce

  1. In a large bowl, combine mayo, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey and Dijon mustard.
  2. Whisk to combine.
  3. Add black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika to wet mix.
  4. Whisk to combine.
  5. Store in the fridge below 41° Fahrenheit.
  6. Serve cold.
  7. Quick-Pickled Jalapeños

  1. Wash jalapeños.
  2. Slice into rounds. Remove seeds to reduce spice level.
  3. Roughly mince garlic cloves and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine sugar, salt, apple cider vinegar and water.
  5. Whisk to combine.
  6. Add minced garlic, jalapeño slices and stir.
  7. Store in the fridge below 41 ° Fahrenheit.
  8. Alabama White Jalapeño Coleslaw
  9. Add cabbage mix and minced quick-pickled jalapeños to a large bowl.
  10. Add Creamy Alabama white sauce to cabbage jalapeño mix and stir until well-coated 1 to 3 hours before meal service.
  11. Creamy Alabama White Turkey Sandwich Preparation

  1. Thaw turkey slices in fridge 1-2 days prior to meal service.
  2. Place two turkey slices on the bottom ciabatta bun.
  3. Place top ciabatta bun on turkey slices.
  4. Hold sandwich in warmer above 140° Fahrenheit.
  5. Serving: Just prior to meal service, remove top ciabatta bun and top turkey slices with ½ cup of creamy Alabama white sauce jalapeño coleslaw. Place top ciabatta bun on top of coleslaw to complete the sandwich. Serve ½ cup of coleslaw on side of sandwich and allow students to add coleslaw to sandwich themselves. Arrange the sandwich on a tray, plate or boat.
