English Cheddar Turkey Burger

It’s all about the Cheddar. And spicy ketchup. And dijonnaise. And toasted English muffin. This mouthwatering turkey burger is an indulgent lunch or dinner option. Add a touch of sophistication with a side of watermelon quinoa salad with blood orange vinaigrette.

Ingredients

4 ea. English muffin
4 ea. Turkey burger, cooked and hot
8 ea. Cheddar cheese, 1/2 oz. slices
4 tbsp Dijonnaise
1 cup Romaine lettuce, shredded
4 ea. Tomatoes, 1/4
6 tbsp Spicy ketchup
1 1/3 cups Sautéed red onions

Directions

  1. Toast English muffins.
  2. Top turkey burgers with 2 slices Cheddar cheese each. Place on a tray and set under broiler to melt cheese.
  3. Build burgers (4 total), starting with bottom English muffin half:
    - Spread 1 tbsp. of Dijonnaise
    - Place ¼ cup shredded lettuce on Dijonnaise
    - Place 1 tomato slice on top of lettuce - Place turkey burger with melted cheese on top of tomato - Top cheeseburger with 1 ½ tbsp. spicy ketchup
    - Place 1/3 cup sautéed onions on top of spicy ketchup
    - Top with remaining toasted English muffin half
  4. Serve.
