Bourbon Apple Butter Glaze

BOURBON APPLE BUTTER GLAZE

Yield: 5 ¼ cups 

2 cups

Apple butter

1 cup

Apple cider

1 ½ cups

Honey

½ cup

Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce

¼ cup

Bourbon

Directions

 

TO PREPARE THE BOURBON APPLE BUTTER GLAZE:

1. Combine all the ingredients except for the turkey and bring to a boil, then simmer for 3 minutes. Cool completely.  

2. In application, remove the heated turkey from the oven and brush liberally with glaze. Return it to the oven for 5–8 minutes, until the glaze has caramelized. Brush the turkey again with the glaze prior to carving.
